Machine Learning Engineer

We’re now hiring a Machine Learning Engineer in Porto or Lisbon.

What’s the role?

As a Machine Learning Engineer at LTPlabs, you’ll help turn data and AI into powerful tools that support decision-making, solve real business problems, and deliver lasting impact.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary project teams to build, deploy, and monitor machine learning systems in real-world environments. From designing ML pipelines to operationalizing models in production, this is a hands-on role where curiosity, collaboration, and technical ownership go hand-in-hand.

You’ll help shape how AI comes to life in our projects — whether it’s predicting demand, automating decisions, or optimizing processes across industries like retail, healthcare, energy, and more.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Develop and deploy machine learning pipelines, from training to serving.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to build scalable solutions.
• Monitor and maintain models in production, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Implement best practices in MLOps, version control, CI/CD, and testing.
• Translate business needs into technical designs, and vice versa.
• Contribute to the evolution of our internal ML infrastructure and tools.
• Stay up to date with the latest ML frameworks, cloud services, and deployment strategies.

Who are you?

• Master Degree in Computer Science, Informatics and Computational Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Solid programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience deploying ML models in production (APIs, batch jobs, or cloud-native services).
• Familiarity with tools like Docker, MLflow, or Airflow.
• Experience with cloud platforms is valued (AWS,GCP or Azure).
• Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing strategies.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with Kubernetes, Terraform, or distributed computing frameworks — but it’s not a must.
