Two papers had a honorable distinction by the jury of Isabel Themido award

Once again LTP was present in IO, a congress of the Portuguese Association of Operational Research (APDIO). This year, two papers with the participation of LTPeers were assigned with a honorable distinction by the jury of Isabel Themido award.

Published in 2018, “The time window assignment vehicle routing problem with product dependent deliveries” and “Allocating products on shelves under merchandising rules: Multi-level product families with display directions” were considered by the jury as relevant papers.

In 2019’s edition, in Tomar, the congress intended to advance in the discussion about machine learning and advanced analytical methods that support better decisions in operational research. Experts shared their work and ideas about these two disciplines and how to obtain synergies from their integration, in order to improve the decision-making process in organizations and in society.
