Planning
Under Pressure

How industrial leaders are improving and redesigning planning with analytics & AI.

A half-day session for COOs, VPs of Operations and Heads of Planning. Identify the planning decisions that quietly cost you the most - and the analytics & AI levers that actually fix them.

7 of 10 seats remaining · non-competing companies only

Which industrial planning decisions quietly cost you the most - and how can analytics & AI help you fix them?

Service misses, stranded inventory, last-minute reschedules, overtime, lost sales, perpetual firefighting. The cost rarely sits in one decision - it accumulates across hundreds of small ones, every week, in every plant and every planner's spreadsheet. This session finds where yours leaks, separates the decisions where analytics & AI genuinely move the needle from the ones that don't, and gives you a roadmap to act on it.

Why does planning keep failing despite ERP, APS and dashboards?

Tools have multiplied. Plan quality hasn't. We'll separate what's a tool problem from what's a process or governance problem - and where AI is the only realistic way to make the call at the scale you're working at.

Forecast accuracy is up. Why isn't plan quality?

Forecasting is an input to a decision, not the decision. We'll look at how plans actually get made - and where analytics & AI turn better numbers into better calls (and where they quietly don't).

Stable plan, or agile response? Most teams pay for both.

The tension between plan stability and response speed is where most planners burn out. We'll map where to absorb variability - and where AI-driven re-planning is the only way to react in hours instead of weeks.

Who Is This For?

For leaders who own the industrial plan

Built for companies with real industrial planning complexity - process manufacturing, discrete production, and consumer goods operations where supply, capacity and demand collide weekly. Capped at 10 companies so every conversation stays specific.

01 - Primary seat holder
Chief Operations Officer

You own the planning architecture and absorb its consequences - service, inventory, capacity, cash. The opportunity here is a redesign that makes Monday-morning decisions noticeably better.

Highly Recommended
02 - Bring one
VP / Head of Planning

You live inside the cycle. You see every override, every escalation, every plan-versus-actual gap. This session turns that ground truth into a prioritised redesign plan.

Highly Recommended
03 - Bring one
Supply Chain / S&OP Director

You sit at the seam between commercial, supply and operations - where decision rights blur and trade-offs get decided by whoever shouts loudest. That seam is where most cost hides.

What You Walk Away With

Not theory. A decision & AI roadmap.

01
A live diagnostic of your planning process
Run inside the room, on your operation. A structured map of where your planning leaks value - across service, inventory, capacity, throughput and decision speed.
02
The decisions that cost you the most, ranked
A short list of the planning calls - demand commitments, inventory targets, scheduling rules, allocation logic - that drive the bulk of your avoidable cost today.
03
For each decision, the lever that actually moves it
Process redesign, governance, data discipline, optimisation, automation, or AI decision support - honest about which lever applies, including the calls where AI is the only realistic way to get the right answer at your scale.
04
A clear view of what to fix before buying another tool
The work most teams skip. Which gaps a new APS or AI module will fix - and which it will quietly inherit. Saves the budget conversation you didn't want to have.
05
Peer benchmarking with non-competing operators
Ten industrial planning leaders in the room, none direct competitors. A rare space to compare maturity, decision rights, and what “good” actually looks like.
Invitation only
10 seats. Industrial planning leaders only.
A working session for leaders ready to redesign how their highest-cost planning decisions get made - and where analytics & AI fit into that redesign over the next twelve months.
The support from LTPlabs was essential in the discovery of AI and Analytics opportunities for three companies within our group. LTPlabs stood out for its agile and structured approach, quickly capturing the essence of our business challenges and identifying AI solutions aligned with our strategic priorities.

The Session

Half a day. Seven hard questions.

09:00 - 09:30
Welcome & context setting
Introductions, ground rules, and the planning challenge landscape - why the gap between planning intent and planning reality is wider than most organisations realise.
09:30 - 11:00
Live planning diagnostic
Structured exercises to surface the exact points where your planning process leaks value - from demand input quality to decision latency to exception management.
11:00 - 12:30
AI opportunity mapping
LTPlabs translates the diagnostic into a ranked set of AI planning interventions - with realistic impact sizing and a clear data readiness assessment for each.
12:30 - 13:30
Working lunch & peer exchange
Cross-company conversation - common patterns, surprising findings, and how different industries are solving the same planning problems in different ways.
13:30 - 14:00
Individual readouts
Each company gets a focused 1:1 with the LTPlabs team to walk through their specific outputs and align on what a sensible next step looks like - if any.

Start from the decision. Pick the lever that actually moves it - AI included, when it is.

Many planning problems aren't AI problems - they're process, governance, data, or decision-rights problems wearing an AI costume. But some genuinely are: decisions with too many variables, too short a window, or too much variability for a human to weigh well. SHAiPE separates the two, then shows you which lever - redesign, optimisation, automation, or AI decision support - actually pays back fastest.

Common questions

A few things worth knowing up front. Lunch is included but staying for it is not mandatory - you can leave after the morning working session. The individual read-outs at the end are optional too, not a requirement of attending. We're running from several candidate dates in June, in either Lisbon or Porto; the final date and location are selected from those options once your participation is confirmed.
Senior planning practitioners and applied AI specialists who actually build and deploy planning systems for industrial operators - not a sales team. 12+ years of hands-on industrial experience.
It's a workshop about industrial planning leadership - framed around the decisions that drive its cost. Many of the gaps we'll diagnose are process, governance, decision rights, or data-discipline problems, not AI problems. But a real subset of planning decisions are AI problems - too many variables, too short a window, too much variability to weigh by hand. We'll be specific about which decisions sit on which side, and how analytics & AI move the needle where they do.
Once your seat is confirmed, we'll send a short intake - a few questions about your planning context, current pain points, and the decisions you'd most like to improve. The information is used only to tailor the diagnostic. The richer your input, the sharper your output.
Two options: a 1:1 deep-dive right after the workshop while everything is fresh, or a dedicated follow-up at a time that works for your team. We'll align on the format at the end of the session - whichever route gets you to a real answer faster.
Yes. One well-briefed leader gets real value. The diagnostic is sharper when the COO sits with the Planning and S&OP leads, but it's not a requirement.
